Our mission is to give Calgary families back the space they paid for. The garage is the most underused room in most Calgary homes. It collects hockey gear, Christmas decorations, camping equipment, seasonal tires, tools, and years of things that never quite found a permanent home. We exist to fix that. Not with generic shelf kits or one-size-fits-all systems, but with a hands-on, tailored approach that fits the specific garage, the specific household, and the specific way you actually live.

We believe an organized garage is not a luxury. In Calgary, where the garage doubles as a mudroom, a gear locker, a workshop, and a car shelter against winter, having a functional garage is a practical necessity. GarageScape makes that possible for homeowners at every budget.

Our Story

GarageScape started in Calgary in 2020. The founder, a lifelong Calgarian, had spent years watching the same pattern play out in neighbourhoods across the city: homeowners would buy a house with a perfectly good double-car garage and within two or three years it would be so packed with stuff that neither car fit inside. The garage had become a catch-all, and the problem only grew over time.

The existing solutions were either full-scale renovation contractors who wanted to gut and rebuild, or generic container-store solutions that looked great in a showroom but never quite fit a real Calgary garage with its awkward dimensions, sloped floors, and decades of accumulated gear. There was no service that simply showed up, sorted the problem, and installed practical organization at a reasonable price.

GarageScape launched to fill that gap. We started with two crew members doing decluttering and basic shelving installs in the NW quadrant. Word spread quickly because the need was everywhere. By 2021 we had expanded to serve all four Calgary quadrants. By 2022 we were regularly travelling to Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, and Chestermere. Today GarageScape has multiple trained crews, a roster of over 500 completed projects, and a 5-star rating from clients across the Calgary area.

Every GarageScape quote is written down before work starts. We do not charge by the hour in a way that inflates unpredictably. Our pricing is project-based, communicated clearly before we begin, and does not change unless the scope of the project changes and you agree to the revised cost first. No awkward invoices at the end of the day.

Responsible Disposal of What You Let Go

Items you no longer want do not just go to the landfill. We coordinate donations to Calgary charities including Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and the Calgary Drop-In. Recyclable materials go to appropriate facilities. We provide a donation summary if you need it for tax purposes. Only what cannot be donated or recycled goes to disposal.

Call or message us to describe your garage. We provide a free on-site or phone quote with a clear breakdown of what is included and the total cost. No obligation. For larger projects, we visit the garage before quoting so there are no surprises.

Sorting and Decluttering

Our crew works through the entire garage with you, categorizing everything: keep, donate, recycle, or dispose. We do not make decisions for you, but we guide the process efficiently so it does not drag on for hours. Most Calgary garages are fully sorted in two to three hours.

Deep Cleaning

After decluttering, the garage gets a proper clean. We sweep and mop the floor, treat oil and road salt stains, wipe down walls and ceiling where needed, and address any musty odours. This step matters because shelving installed on a dirty garage floor moves over time.

Organization System Installation and Final Setup

We install whatever shelving, wall-mounted storage, and bin systems were agreed upon. Everything is labelled, seasonal items are grouped logically, and frequently used gear is placed at accessible heights. We walk you through the finished system before we leave. Most Calgary garages are done in a single day, start to finish.
